Pear and branch tomato

The tomato is the fruit of a plant from the Solanaceae family. The plant is completely covered with absorbent hairs that are specialized in taking up water and nutrients. It has strongly aromatic leaves with serrated edges. It flowers profusely and its small, yellow flowers produce very colorful fruits in shades ranging from yellowish to red, due to the presence of pigments such as lycopene and carotenes.

Nutritionally, it is composed mainly of water and its main macronutrient is carbohydrates. Among the vitamins, it is worth highlighting the vitamin A content, basically in the form of beta-carotene (494 ÿg/100 grams) and vitamin C, and among the minerals, potassium.
